Sporting Kansas City is coming off one heck of a year. Last year they went 13 and 9. Sporting KC was very close to winning the MLS Cup but lost in the semifinals to the Houston Dynamo. The whole team played together well last year and looks like they will have another great year playing their second year at LiveStrong Sporting Park. Sporting KC will have a very tough schedule that looks a lot like last year’s schedule. If the team is as successful as last year, they will have a very good shot at making it to the playoffs. Some players to watch for this year will be Rookie of the Year C.J Sapong ,who had five goals and five assists, Graham Zusi ,who had five goals and seven assists, Kei Kamara ,who recorded nine goals and had four assists, Jimmy Nielsen, one of the best goaltenders in the MLS, and the newest player this year, thirteen year veteran Bobby Convey. Sporting KC makes their home opener against the New England Revolution who have midfielder Shalrie Joseph who scored eight goals last year and forward Benny Feilhaber who had the most assists last year with seven. The Revolution have a great team but so does Sporting KC. The game will be one filled with high intensity and action. Sporting KC is shaping up to have a great year and a great first game.
