When new Stadiums make the MLS, Week 9 preview

The Houston Dynamo face DC United saturday. The newest stadium in the MLS will open it's doors to a sellout crowd of 20,000 or more people.

By Nick Hartman:

Tomorrow the Houston Dynamo face DC United in the newest stadium to the MLS, BBVA Compass Stadium. It will be a tough match up and a highly doubtful win for DC United. If DC United wins on opening night of Houston’s new stadium, 20,000 or more fans will go home unhappy. This match-up is just like last year when Sporting KC returned to play their first game at Livestrong Sporting Park. I predict a 2-1 win for Houston.

Another big match-up this week is the Philadelphia Union versus the New York Red Bulls. Now Philadelphia has yet to play well this year and so far is heading south.  This game could very well change the caliber of the Union’s mindset if the Union were to win. If the Union won, it would be a shocker to most, but I honestly think the Union will come out with a win or a tie.  I think the Union will tie 1-1.

Those are not the only match-ups this week.  Sporting KC faces off against the dreaded talent of Dominic Orduro and the Chicago Fire. I think this will be a great match-up that will go until the very last seconds. I also think Chicago goalie, Sean Johnson, will block as many or more than he did in the 0-0 tie this past week to Real Salt Lake. But for every goal Sean Johnson blocks, Sporting’s goalie Jimmy Nielsen will block two. I think this game will end up in a 3-1 win for Sporting.

One other match this weekend is the Montreal Impact vs the LA Galaxy. Now you may think this game is an obivous win for LA, but no. Montreal is on a two game winning streak and the Impact have home field advantage. This game is going to be the tightest game of the week. They will go until the last whistle and the score will end up being 2-1 with another Montreal Impact win.

Finally, The last big hiped match is Real Salt Lake verses the Seattle Sounders. This game is amazing because last year when these two faced off there was bad blood. The game was given three red cards and did not go well with both teams. This year both team are out to get each other once again, it will be a match up worth your time and you will need to watch this match. I predict more cards given and one fight. I also think the score at the very end will be 0-0.

Lastly, On Sunday, the San Jose Earthquakes take on Chivas USA and the Columbus Crew face FC Dallas. Both matches will be pretty dull but if you are not doing anything you should definetly watch them.

So overall this weekend will be a wonderful weekend for some Futbol.
